That's awesome TwoDogs. I hope people take the time to try it and other tricks using the same method. I think that's a great way to teach our dogs. Baby steps and reward frequently along the way. That's the way we do it at school also. We never physically put the dogs in position. We lure or shape them into position and do clicker training. They love working for the treats and making you happy. It makes for better relationship with your fury friend. Luring and shaping let's them think about what they are doing. Makes them use those brains a bit more. Since dogs are more visual, we learn the visual cue first, then add the name to it. Working with dogs can and should be fun if you let it. Enjoy your puppies!
