I'm sure if anybody knows about placing Boxers ...it would be them.....

I do know Miami-Dade (this the same Dade county, right ?)
shelter is a HOTBED for Boxers...& alot of other Pure-bred dogs or that matter.....they wouldn't adopt them out from the shelter...& if they were banned, would they ....I would think they would all be PTS ?

my sister lives in Miami Lakes, (dade co)she has 2 boxers, We grew up in NMB with boxers(also dade!)They are NOT illegal there--wrong info!

PM me, and I can give you the name of the insurance company that we used that did not have a dangerous dog list. They are a very well known, large company. I live up in Tampa, so finding insurance was a bit tricky, but can be done.

I know for a fact that in Dade County you are able to own boxers. My parent live in Coral Gables and own a boxer and a Rottweiler. There are boxers all over the place in miami so I find that very surprising. I hope this is a misunderstanding and you find in the end that you can have them with you. Good Luck!! Paula

I too know people in Dade County who have boxers. But if you're unsure, the Keys are in Monroe county, so you could always just live a little south of Dade County??

Hmmm, I live in Florida and have never heard of boxers being on the insurance companies' lists.

I know many boxer owners in Dade county. They have no problems.

Definitely don't give up yet, sounds like poor information. Maybe a particular apartment complex?

Thanks for everyone's help! I have looked on all the websites that everyone gave me and I didn't find anything either. The real estate agent that I was talking with down there was the person who told me that boxers were illegal. I spent all my free time at work today calling to Dade County and talking with people. I finally got a hold of Animal control and they said that boxers were on a "bad dog" list but they were not banned as of yet. I just freaked when that agent told me that I couldn't take my boxer baby with me! (I siwtched agents by the way.) I am still looking for a dog friendly place that wil let me rent with two fairly large dogs. Again, thank you all for all of your support and help. It is greatly apperciated. More than you know.
