Princess is getting spayed!

well.. i just called the vet after i got home from work and Princess will be getting fixed on tuesday December 28th but i will have to drop her off the night before since i wont beable to take her in that morning.. its going to be so weird without her in the house.. and even stranger sleeping in bed for 2 nights without her..

are there any questions i should ask when i drop her off?? i already let them know of the seizure she had november 27th.. i know its going happen in 2 weeks but i'm already so nervous.. but i guess thats normal since she is my baby.. lol

Other than ensuring that they don't use Acepromazine as a pre-anasthetic sedative, there's nothing too much for you to worry about. I'm sure your vet will give you some advice about keeping her quiet for a few days post-surgery. But as we all know, that's easier said than done with a boxer!

wow.. time has gone by too fast.. i'm going to be taking Princess to the vet tomorrow around 6pm and will be getting spayed tuesday morning and wont come home till wednesday.. its going to be so quiet with her gone..

well.. princess got dropped off at the vets around 6.. i'm feeling terrible about leaving her there.. its so quiet here and i dont like it.. lol.. i did like this vet a lot better then the one we went to before.. the kennel i put her in was fairly big.. and i did ask them about the pre-anasthetic and they dont use ACE at all.. and they will do a ECG and bloodwork on her before they start the surgery to make sure everything is ok with her... so that made me feel better.. i was also told that princess will most likely get lots and lots of attention tomorrow since they have a lady who works there who has boxers.. but yea.. i'm actually crying cuz i miss her so much and i'm worried about her.. i know its for the best but i just cant help myself.. i'll feel better tomorrow once the vet calls after her spay is over and shes ok..

She'll be fine and you'll look back and laugh at how worried you were! I was also in tears after dropping Storm off but it really is the best thing for her. Give her lots of love & kisses when she gets home!

I cried so hard when I left Aus for surgery that the vet cried with me! I think we take it much harder than our babies do. I'm sure Princess will be fine. Let us know when it's over.

well.. the vet called me around 1pm today and told me that princess was awake and was doing well and i get to pick her up at 11am tomorrow!!! i cant wait to get my baby back... i think the cats enjoy having princess gone they were playing all morning and following me around.. i had to tell my one cat, sparkles, who hates princess that i didnt get rid of her and she will be coming back home tommorow.. lol.. shes not going to be a happy camper when she sees princess walk through the door..
