Prayers please

My poor baby girl Bella is very very ill. She started off with kennel cough at the pet store and from there it progressed to pneumonia. She was put on antibiotics but it looks like her pnemonia was worse than what was first thought.

She took a turn for the worse yesterday morning and we rushed her to the vet. They took a culture sample from her lungs and they told us her lungs are an absolute mess! They started nebeulizing her yesterday and she had two doses. I then brought her home last night but she still wasn't right. She just kept giving me the "Mommy please help me look". I brought her back in this morning and they put her in an oxygen kennel. She was doing better by noon, but seemed to crash later this afternoon. One of the test results came back from the lab and it showed she is now septic, and the bacteria in her lungs has started to leak into her blood. The vet says they are now going to hit the bug with 3 different antibiotics. I hope it works. The vet had informed me that she was just flat, would not get up or anything. Then she took me back to Bella's kennel, and the sweet little soul stood up and wagged that little boxer tail at me. It tired her out but the vet was encouraged by her reaction to me.

This little girl has been through so much in her short 15 week life. She has really never had the chance to just be a dog and enjoy the things that dogs do because she has been sick her entire life. I never EVER ever would have bought a dog from a pet store, but there was something about her. Just the way there was an instant connection. I really don't regret getting her, but I am SO angry that this stupid store let it progress this far.

Sorry about the long post. I am just so sad and angry. Bella and I had a talk on the way to the vet today (well I talked and she looked at me). I told her to fight this bug and I will do everything I can to help her :(
