So very, very sorry for your loss of Thor. Sending hugs and keeping your family in our prayers. I'm so happy that you received his "message". I'm sure you have many wonderful memories of Thor, may they make you smile often.

OH NO! I'm so sorry to hear the news of Thor's passing. I'm crying as I type. As others said, I too looked forward to your updates on Thor and Arabella. He was such a beautiful and regal old man. You were so lucky to have him for over 12 years. Hugs to both you and Arabella.

One of my favorite pictures (ever) is Thor wearing his doggles in the back seat of your convertible.

That's my favorite pic of Thor too! He really seemed to enjoy the wind in his fur.

I'm so sorry Pam. Thor always amazed me with his strength and love of life. Thank you for mentioning Thor's parting "gift". The same thing happened to me when I said good-bye to Leeloo.grouphugicon

Have been following Thor for a long time and go to your blog from time to time to see that beautiful old man face. My girl will be 11 yrs old in Nov and has that silver face. Had a hard time believing what I was reading when I saw your post. So sorry for your loss. He was a fighter. Run free at Rainbow Bridge Thor and your Mom will never forget your parting gift.

Pam, there are no words.... He was loved beyond measure, fought his battle with dignity. He was blessed to have you as his mommy, nurse, best friend. Run free at the bridge Thor.

"The pain passes, but the beauty remains." Wishing you warm, happy memories as a comfort. Please hug and kiss Arabella for me.

I want to thank you all for all our support. There are moments where the tears just seem to start. My husband was crying half the day yesterday. Arabella is doing ok. She has always waited for Thor to finishing eating and then would run to her bowl and eat like it was a game. Now there is no one to play with. Yesterday I had to hand feed her. This morning was a little better. My husband works for the federal government, so he is home and has been keeping her busy. My biggest concern with her is leaving her home alone for any length of time. She has always had a companion. We are redoing our master bath and are going fixture shopping today. We are going to take her with us since Lowes will let you take in your dog. It will be good to start socializing her more. I think I am rambling at this point.

Again thank you all for your loving comments, and it warms my heart to know how many loved Thor. As for the comments of the picture with his doggles, I have one of those as my Facebook Avatar. My brother posted a picture on Facebook of Thor as well. It was an older one when Thor was at his heaviest and it was with my first boxer, Star. My two angels. I am sure they are running and playing together again, along with so many of our babies. Too many have made the journey over the bridge lately. How much fun they all most be having together! I can just imagine our "boxer herd" running burns together! :D There I go rambling again. Again thank you all. Much love and hugs returned to you all.

I just thought to check in here since I've not been around in awhile only to see this. I'm so sorry to hear about Thor. I am relatively new here, but it does seem like he had a well-lived life with about the best family a dog could hope for. Losing them just plain sucks, and time is the only healer. Nico and I are sending hugs to you and your family from just north of you in Nebraska. XO.
