I am so sorry! Thor was such a fighter and he fought to the very end! You did everything that you could of done for him. It was just his time to go to the Rainbow Bridge.

Arabella give your Mom lots of hugs and kisses. She is going to need them.

Godspeed Thor! Say hello for Markus and Moto for me!

I am so sorry for your loss. You both fought a long and hard battle. Know that you did everything you could for him. I know the pain that you are feeling. I wish there were words to make you feel better but we all know that only time will heal and there are still good days and bad days. It was a long night with little sleep. The vet warned us before administering anything sometimes there is some involuntary reactions as the body shuts down. Thor really just laid his head down and went very peacefully. Now some may find this next part odd and tasteless, but many of you I am sure will understand. Right at the end he passed one last little fart. Thor was notorious for his gas issues before I became more aware of his diet and even feeding him better he still had some gas. To me it was almost as good as kiss.

Also as I started to doze off I heard snoring, and I thought "That's my boy." Then I realized it couldn't be. It was Arabella, but she NEVER snores. As soon I raised my head she stopped. I am taking that as a sign from Thor and that he is ok.

I literally grabbed my chest when I read your post which then had me getting all teary eyed.... then when I read about Thor's parting "gift" I just went ahead and decided not to make an attempt to fight back the tears.
I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words. Thor was one of my hero's.

Tears dried and back... Pam if you remember back a few weeks my sister had to let her boy go and she says that she still feels him in the house when she is having a bad day and finding it tough.
Rocky had his bed beside the radiator in the utility room and when he wagged his tail and it used to thump against it and echo through the house, well two weeks ago she was having one of those days and she heard the thumping and ran into the utility but of course there was nothing there and it near broke her heart all over again but on reflection she is taking it as a sign that he his happy and doing fine and it sort of helped her turn a corner so I too think that they do give a sign that all is well ...
My heart just breaks for you, give your girl a kiss from me she will be keep you strong.
