Well I've been trying very unsuccessfully to ignore the urge to fill out an app for this dog. Husband finally couldn't stand even one more word about her and said you know your in love just go fill out the app. So I did. Need to set up the home check but hopefully this very special girl will soon be a member of our family.

She is a fifteen month old English Mastiff who was hit by a car and had to have a front leg amputated. Her owner turned her into rescue. Too bad for him as she seems like such a love. Some good vibes that all goes well and she becomes a member of our family would be great. So if anyone's willing cross hands paws and anything else that can be crossed.

Possible Addition

I felt the same way as you when I saw her. She would be a great addition to any home and I can't believe anyone would give her up. She's just beautiful. I've been reading her story.

You know, I looked at Boxer Angel Rescue and they have about 5 very senior boxers, I have this urge to take all 5 of them. I know I can't really do that, but when the time comes to add, I really think I would love to adopt a couple of seniors.

I have an 8.5 yr. old now, a 5yr and a 3yr(special needs) babies now, but the seniors are very endearing to me and I'm feeling that may be were I can help down the road.

Good luck

Thanks for all the good vibes. I'm expecting to have the home check done this weekend. I talked to Harley's foster mom for quite a while last night and her story is a sad one, worse then I imagined. She was hit by a car when she was 4 months old and was never taken to a vet. The man who owned her moved and had a friend of his watch her for him. Harley's broken leg became very swollen and infected so the friend finallly took Harley to a vet but after going several months without treatment the leg was so badly infected and damaged they weren't able to save the limb. The friend had the vets amputate the leg to save her. When the man who owned her was called and told about this he said he didn't want her back. He got her to breed and since she wouldn't be able to have pups because of the stress it would cause on her good leg she was of no use to him. I just can't believe some people. So far all sounds good. I work with NBR and SCBR so I think the home check should go very well and I will hopefully be able to provide this sweetheat with the love she deserves. Sherry I also have a soft spot for the old ones and the sick ones that are hard to place. I wasn't intending to get another but this girl just pulls on my heart even more so after talking to her foster mom. She has only been without the limb for two month but since she wasn't really using it before she doesn't even seem to know it's gone. I love the picture of her playing with the boxer. She will have a blast playing with my German Shorthair Pointer and Biscuit and Poncho the boxers.
