I just got back from a very hetic day. I had to clean out our fence row saturday, so this morning I woke up covered in poison ivy. As soon as I thought it couldnt get worse it does. I was at work today when my mother called and said that Lily has hurt her leg while she was out back playing with Rojo, our coon-hound. Shes not putting any pressure on it and is drooling a lot. Well I rushed home to see what was going on and sure enough she was hiding underneath the bed. When I finally got her out I began to pick her up and she screamed.
We took her to the vet and he said that it looked like she had broken it somehow. After some x-rays, she has fractured it right above the first bend, coming from her foot. Their major concern is how it will affect her growth after it heals. It is tape up right now and she seams to still be in a bit of pain. I feel so bad for her. We have to take her back every week until it heals.
It seams like its always something. Here are pictures of her and the cast as of about 10 min. ago.
