I have been wanting to adopt another Boxer. So I saw on a local animal shelter this pretty white female boxer name Crystal. So I go to the shelter to check her out. Well, I couldn't find her up there. I was hoping she'd already been adopted so I ask the kennel worker and they said she was pulled for some reason. Well, I spoke with another person and they said she was having problems with resourse guarding and was no longer available for adoption. I was very sad walking out of there. I used to work at this shelter along time ago and the way the lady acted when she said that was like the dog was going to be put down. What is even sadder is I think this is the same dog I saw in another local shelter a couple months ago but had been adopted before I could get up there. I'm hoping this shelter trys to work with her instead of putting her down. They wouldn't give me anymore info so I have no idea her fate. It's just too sad what these poor babies go thru. Sorry, but I needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

Lexi was a pound puppy and we got to her just in time. I don't even want to think about her status had we come the day after. Lexi and Titus are sending out their good boxer vibes that Crystal's life has a positive outlook and that things will work out.

April, Sorry to hear about your experience with Crystal. I agree that it's such a shame what these babies go thru. It's very unfortunate the outcome sometimes. It bothers me tremendously when I think about it. I hope that something works out for her. Were you able to leave any contact info so that if situations change, they would possibly contact you for her adoption? Trying to think positive! Take care.

Thanks for the support. I did leave my name and number with them so they could get ahold of me for that reason and if they had any other boxers come in. There was a male boxer there but he had already been adopted which I'm glad. I just can't help but wonder if that was the only problem why they couldn't find a home without kids or other dogs and someone who would work with her. I can only hope they are working with her since they do have behavioural training done at that shelter. Maybe they just pulled her for awhile. One can hope!
