daisy is only 4 months old, should she eat the puppy or adult formula and if puppy, what age would you switch? thanks for any help!!

At 4 months, you could feed either. I personally would go for the adult version. Really the only difference between the puppy and adult versions of CS is that the puppy has a little more chicken fat in it(In a high quality food, there shouldn't be much difference) A lot of people choose never to feed a puppy food at all. If you do go with the puppy food, I wouldn't feed it past six months.

Congratulations on making the switch to CS. You're baby is going to be so much better off. Sadly the answer to your question about what well known foods are good is - none! Well, I take that back. I guess Nutro Ultra is pretty well known, and that is generally considered to be a premium food - but it is the ONLY premium Nutro food. But Iams, Science Diet, Eukanuba - all well known, all highly recommended by vets the world over, all JUNK!! It is so sad, and makes me so angry. I am very thankful that this site educated me on what pet food is really about.

i definitely think i am going to look into the chicken soup brand though....does it really make them shed less? our daisy has been shedding like crazy with the heat and i can't wait for that to stop.....and with the chicken soup brand, daisy is only 4 months old, should she eat the puppy or adult formula and if puppy, what age would you switch? thanks for any help!!
Mine have always been on CS from 8 weeks on. As far a shedding I really think it depends on the dog. I have one shedding bad and one hardly at all. I think it's the time of year though! At 4 months I would just get the adult formula. That's what I feed my boys and they are 4 and 7 months old. It's a great food and my boys love it. BTW it is processed by Diamond foods but it wasn't included in their recall because it has no corn.
