Boxer Pal
Hi everyone. Im the very proud owner of Sgt. Wrinkles (Sarge), a 9 week old purebred. I got him at 7 weeks of age from a litter whose family was moving out of state. He had a slight cough at that time, which was on a Saturday evening. I took him to the vet on Monday morning for his puppy shots and to have the cough checked. He was put on an antibiotic. After a week, he still sounded very fluid to me and so we went back to the vet. He had a chest xray and was found to have a slight case of pneumonia. This was scary to me since we lost a mutt puppy to pneumonia back in the spring. Sarge has bounced back pretty well, he's eating and drinking well, is playful and alert. I worry though because he still seems so congested. Its almost as though he just doesnt have the capablility to expel whatever is in him. Are boxers prone to respiratory problems? This is my first experience with one. I'm absolutely 100% head over heals in love with this little guy. I'm hoping that its just a matter of time until the coughing resolves itself. Anyone else experience this? Thanks everyone.
