Please pray for Josi

Josi had a good day today...this is the first day since really Sunday that she seemed to have energy and want to move around the house some and hang out outside in the 70 degree weather we are having. She even barked at the recycle truck this morning which brought happy tears to my eyes b/c it was my Josi again. My hope is that maybe the prednisone is kicking in doing what the doctors hoped it would do. Although they had said to give her 15mg. a day which was a low dose, we opted to start her off at 10mg. which is one pill and it seems to be working so we will stick with that for a bit. Luckily so far she hasn't had any change in behavior like some posts have said that I read through, but maybe that is b/c of the low dose. The only negative thing that has happened so far is that she pee'd in her sleep last night on our bed, but hey if that is the worst side effect...we are all for it Can I put a diaper on her do you know? If yes, would I buy a baby one or do they make ones specially for dogs? Brian and I are very glad that the weekend is here again so we can spend all of our time with her. I can't believe the wedding is just around the corner now, so I am continuing to say my prayers for Josi and I am trying not to look ahead to Friday, just take it day by day

Glad Josi had a good day don't forget to hug her and kiss her from me she truly is a great spirit and will live forever in your hearts. Enjoy her you are lucky to have her. Hopefully your time together will be longer then you expect

I'm so happy for you guys! A little pee in the bed is well worth having your Josi back! I suppose you could try some kind of diaper, and if that doesn't work, maybe you could also try a bed pad. They make nice big ones for incontinent adults. They are nice enough, you could put it right on top of your bed and she can sleep right on it. Just wanted to let you all know that Josi is doing real good today and we had no accidents last night, but we stayed up late watching a movie so she had her last pee at midnight so maybe that is why. Angelheart, thank you for posting that website so I knew what you were talking about. If it continues to be an issue, we will purchase that and probably go ahead and buy a plastic mattress cover as well. Whether it is the prednisone or not, Josi spirit and love for life has reemerged over the past two days. This morning she has been up walking around on her own relocating to the nearest sun spots around the house, she even practically trotted to her food bowl when her daddy asked her if he could have some. It is kinda a long running joke in the house b/c she is not the best at sharing and whenever we ask if we can have some of anything of hers, she goes running to keep watch to remind us it is ALL HERS. She even had a little bit of playfulness this morning rolling over and doing what we call "corn on the cob" where she playfully naws up and down our arms. She is currently resting on her throne and I am truely grateful for each and everyday although I will never have enough. Keep sending those boxerworld vibes that she continues to do well atleast until we return from the wedding

Glad to hear Josi is seeing no bad side effects of prednisone and that she seems much brighter! On the issue of diapers, they do make doggie diapers, I had to get one for Mindy. This is the kind I got her, http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produ...challpartial&Ntk=All&pc=1&N=0&Ntt=diaper&Np=1. With those you have to buy pads to put in them (they look just like Poise pads, you could probably use those). They also make disposables that look just like the one in that link, but obviously you throw them away. I got Mindy's right at PetSmart, I think most pet store probably have them. Hopefully, that peeing was just a one night thing and she won't need anything. You are all still in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.
