Sending out lots of prayers for the little Warrior, I agree with whoever posted that Josi owns a piece of all of our hearts. I know at times you feel so alone and helpless, but know that we are here to listen to you, laugh with you, cry with you, share in all the triumphs and set backs. And of course steady streams of prayers heading towards you, Brian and of course that special Warrior Diva, Ms Josi. Hope the night went well, and hope she has a better day today. And tomorrow is the weekend, snuggles all day and night for two whole days. Hugs to you all, and gentle kisses from Cody to Ms Josi.

just checking in first thing this morning.

The prayers and vibes helped Josi get through the night...she didn't budge at all. She was breathing very heavy but she was peaceful and knocked out like a light. Before we bedded down at about midnight Josi's appetite came back demanding more chicken which was a good sign to us. She was able to go outside on her own four paws, but unfortunately she had another explosion. I know she had only had one pill, but I am dying for something to work. She got her second one this morning and she once again gobbled down breakfast and some extra chicken after her pee pee. Her gums appear to have some color back in them when she is resting, but after being outside they white out. I hope to keep her resting throughout the day and pray we get some firmer #2s.
Does anyone know if I should be holding her pepcid with this medicine? I haven't given it to her for fear that it will clean out the medicine, but I don't know and I forgot to ask the doctor. I am sorry I left you all hanging last night without a post, I just really cuddled up to her and tried to focus my energy on her. This whole ordeal has been so emotional and this past week has been exceptionally draining. To add to my stress, I have plans to go to Seattle next Sat. to Tues. to visit my uncle who is not doing well. I am supposed to meet up with my great aunt once out there and I truthfully never thought we would be here when this trip was arranged. I did talk to my uncle last night and explain to him that if Josi is still here, there is no way I can leave her. He was very understanding as a dog lover...him and his wife had a poodle named Myron for 18 yrs. that he still grieves over. Anyhow it is just another bump in the road and I actually hope I am not going out there next week b/c I will be spending time here with her. I just don't want something to happen to him and have the regret that I didn't get to see him. Oh well...enough rambling of my worries~let me go give sleeping beauty kisses and hugs from all of you and I will post again soon.

I didn't discontinue the Pepcid with the Metronidazole. It's not like Pepto or Charcoal that absorbs things. It just sort of neutralizes the tummy acids.

I'm so happy to hear she got up on her own and had breakfast. Give her some kisses from me, and I'll check back later. Got to get some Avon delivered.

Miss Josi Warrior Princess - keep up the fight as long as you want. We're all here fighting right along with you, and your mom and dad, of course.

oh staci...I'm sorry you are faced with a decision about whether or not to go to Seattle.
i know it's easy for me to say but whatever you do is what's meant to be.
you just have to go with your heart to be able to decide what to do. there is no right or wrong decision. although i know it's not an easy one.
it sounds as if they really understand your love for josi though.

Miss Josi you go girl... Mom always has the answer to your appetite... More Chicken... yummy... last night I was making some chicken stir fry and wouldn't ya know it, i burst out with a tear thinking of how you love your chicken...
