I am so happy to hear that your girl's doing better! I can't imagine the pain you've been through worrying about her. I did exactly what you told us all to do, I went out and gave my Charlie Paper a big hug after reading your first post. Charlie Paper and I will keep you and Diamond in our thoughts.

Oh, you all have me in tears again! Good tears though! In my post earlier I was so tired I forgot to add that he is also worried about her vision, which I think is just fine. She noticed us from a few feet away and that is fine with me. As soon as she saw me she got up and was doing the kidney bean. The small hemorrhages that the dr. was worried about seem to be healing fine and he doesn't think they went to her lungs. Since the swelling in her brain went down he is not worried about significant brain damage. She's walking slow and her feet are cold and nails are still purple but he thinks that will all come back with time. I know that the next couple weeks are going to be tough, but like I told Diamond, I will do anything for her and she knows that, and I know that she can do it. Thank you all again for all of your prayers and vibes. I know they helped. I told that dr. "the miracle of prayer"...he agreed. He was up there until after midnight last night with her and back up there at 7 this morning. I know I don't really like him but I couldn't quit telling him thanks for what he had done. Thanks again ya'll...please keep us in your prayers and I will keep you updated!

Wow I just read this post... I had a similar situation with one of my dogs when I was younger- he got hit by a car and they had us believing he wouldn't make it. He did though, sometimes vets can be so negative. Dogs have such an amazing spirit and I have so much faith that Diamond will pull through just like Jax did and be right back to normal in no time!

Wishing you both the best and Diamond is a lucky girl to have a mommy that cares about her so much!

I know how you felt because I almost lost Shayna last month. SHe was in ICU for 5 days and no, nobody stayed there overnight with her. But she was crated and out of it with her IV's. Anyway, thank GOD she's ok and that you found her in the nick of time. Are they saying that she had a severe heat stroke and do you know about how many minutes she was in there and how hot it was outside? This could be used for educational purposes. You know, like the stup's that leave there dog in the car a the store because it's only going to be a few minutes in 90 degree heat. So maybe your terrible accident will not all be in vain and other's could learn from it and maybe you could prevent this from happening to anyone else.

But anyway, so glad she's OK and you sound like a good Mom that's really in tune with your dog.

Yes she had a severe heat stroke is what he said. I really don't know how long she was in the car, the last time I had seen her was about 30 minutes before. As I said before, we really don't know how she got in the car...still can't figure it out. It was about 97 degrees around the time that I found her. That is the main reason that I put this post up, not only for your prayers that I knew would be free flowing, but also to try to help prevent it from happening to anyone else. I hope that someone can learn from my story even though I wasn't being an idiot and left her in the car on purpose. I know in my heart that this was an accident and I'm just glad that eventually she will be back to her somewhat normal self. Thanks again guys, I will post again after I see her in a couple hours or so!
