Adelle, I was thinking the same thing: Swiss breed of some sort. I love that tooth sticking out over his lip!! I'm so glad he has a good home now, even if he does have to live with a cat!
I had to have a look too. I also thought Rottie when I saw it...but he is a cutie pie! Of course while I was there, I had to scroll the whole page and look at the doggies. My gosh...did any of you see the boxer at the bottom of the page, Sophia? What a strong willed baby girl she is. Just like the comment said, complete awe that she made it as malnourished as she was. Wow is all I can say.
OMG! I didn't even see that the first time I visited the page. I literally gasped when I saw that picture. I have so much respect not only for dogs like Sophia who manage to make it through, but for those rescuers who see things like that far too often. I don't know that I would be able to handle it, but that is a selfish statement I guess. We HAVE to handle it for dogs like Sophia's sake! What a lucky girl...
Pit bulls come in tri color also and to tell you the truth it completely slipped my mind. A definate possiblility for a romancing relative of this cutie.
well........that explains it all, I guess..............cause that's what it looks like! I have NEVER seen a pit that looks like that...........very pretty!!
I wouldnt be surprised if in the tri-boxer's liniage (sp?) that there was possibly a tri-pit in there... I cant imagine that one pit being in the past mix would change the ohysical characteristics of the boxer.... its a interesting color though... I'm still partial to the "traditional" colors though.
Edited to add:
By "traditional" I mean Fawn, Brindle, Flashy... and yes white, since whites are just over marked fawns or brindles
Spike looks just like my Emmitt. I've been trying to figure out how Emmitt got his colouring forever and finally I can show you what he looks like. (I haven't figured out how to download the pictures yet.) Emmitt looks exactly like spike. All boxer except for the colouring!!!! Weird. Maybe their related somehow! Now Emmitt is only 8 months.
