I believe that my 2 year old female has eaten one, possibly two cooked chicken wings (smaller ones - not jumbo) and I am freaking out because I have heard so many bad things. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for...symptoms etc...what can happen?...does anyone know? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....!!

Cooked bones don't always cause problems. They will sometimes pass through without difficulty. Just watch for any changes in her bowel movements. As long as she acts normally, I wouldn't worry too much.

I hope your dog is fine. Ruby is the devil when it comes to chicken, just the other day I had to chase her around the garden to retreive the chicken carcass she stole from the kitchen bin

Gracie got into some cooked chicken bones and she was okay. We just watched her for the next few days and made sure she was going #2 and it looked normal. Hope the same is true for you--just keep a close eye on her!

Thank you to all who posted!

Thank you so much for the advice....Just can't imagine having her sick because of something like that. Today she seems to be fine, but I have been advised by her vet to watch her over several days. Your advise and kind sentiments are much appreciated!

The only time my dogs got into cooked chicken bones my vet told me to feed them lots of bread and just watch them carefully.

The bread gets all gooey and doughey and might help coat the sharp bits.

That said, most of the time it's fine. Scary, but fine!
