[Diablows mum]

hi everyone!

Was just on a walk with my partner and my furbaby diablow and noticed diablow will not walk normally for my parnter when hes holding the lead instead he follows me to whatever side i am walking on and sticks to my heels like glue....
He also on other occasions seems to be alot more excited to see me than my partner....

its not really a problem (infact i enjoy being the favourite a little) haha!
just wondering if anyone elses boxers have picked one family member to bond with mostly and if anyone knows why they do this

For us, I have noticed that she listens to me better than my husband when we give her commands. I'm the one who makes her sit before she eats, dog walker, and make her sit before going outside etc. My hubby is the playing person (fun person). She gets all excited with him and when he comes home. I play with her too but I'm not as rambunctiou and I use toys to play with her and I don't allow her to jump on me as I'm smaller than my husband. Also, I only work part time so she spends lots more time with me than him. I think Lacy is a little bit more partial to me as well because of all the time I spend with her.

Well, Charlie is a TOTAL mama's boy until daddy comes home or if daddy is there... then he follows daddy around and lays on daddy and pretty much leaves me in the dust... and he is technically my dog ... . I would let your partner take Diablow on walks without you a few times and see if Diablow is any better and follows your partners lead when you are away. If not then your partner should work with Diablow without you and bond with him more one on one until Diablow views you both as his parents and both as who he looks up to.

Charlie may leave me for daddy but he knows mommy is still the main boss. If daddy is trying to give Charlie something he isnt supposed to (scraps) Charlie looks at me first before he will take it and waits for me to say yes or no.

Since it's you that is the favorite, I see no problem there, ! Maverick favored me to my ex-husband. I am not sure why, probably because I babied him. When we adopted Lexie, she favored me at first but then seemed to gravitate more to my ex for a while. She came to her senses after a few months though and I became her favorite again.
It seems that they always have their favorite in the family.

My baby Slick does this. Except she loves my husband and does anything for him and will only choose me if he is not around.

Yep Roge is my boy,infact I was away for a night last week for work and my DH said that Roge seemed to know that everyone comes home in the evening and waited all night at the back door for me .IT really got me thinking about how he must react in the bording kennels when we go on holiday, he also follows me everywhere iv actually noticed this in the last few weeks when we have started to light the fire in the sitting room, my DH lights the fire around 7 and keeps trying to get Roge to come in with him but he wont move until I go in ,he could be fast asleep infront of the fire but if I leave the room hes at my heals.. Iv got to say that if he loves me as much as I love him there,s a lot of love in my neck of the woods.
