Well I think I am going to hold off with Ikaika and just find secluded parks for now. The lady upstairs from me now has a male (looks like a pit mix, maybe rescue) dog. She didn't have one before. He is about 4 years old. So we tried to meet and greet.

The other dog let out a growl and snapped at Ikaika, and of course he went nuts after that. The slightest growl from another dog and Ikaika acts up. My poor honey :( I think he needs a pet psychatrist.

So sorry to hear that! I can't say I blame him though, that's a scary thing to go through, poor thing.

Maybe one day he will come play with us all!

Have fun this weekend if you all go, Sam will be missing it I am sure!

Nope don't blame him at all. When you have been bit several times, I guess you just get fed up. Cujo and all....I love him

Well I think we are going to forego the park this weekend. They are predicting rain all weekend into the next week. :( Mailani will be so disappointed.

So what about the 11th of July. I would suggest the 4th, but I know a lot of peeps go out of town or bbq. We might go out though the 4th anyway.

yeah, even if we are in town, it will be muddy out there. too muddy for him to handle. we may be going to dallas for the weekend of the 4th. he'll get to play w/his "cousins" (my BIL's dogs). so the 11th sounds good for us.

Hi guys,

sorry I have been absent from this forum for so long. We are heading for Costa Rica on wednesday and I really would have liked for Porter to play for hours on end this weekend at the park before being sent to the kennel for a week! I hate to do that to him, I always end up feeling so guilty, I'm sure you all know exactly what I'm talking about.

Anyways, I definitely want to give him plenty of fun on July 11th, and I hope the weather will allow for it too!

I am sure we will take Sam out there this weekend too though, I don't think we have any big plans and since he had to miss this past weekend, I am sure he will be looking forward to it!

I am also going to probably take Mailani out this weekend too. She looked at me Sunday like "are we going, huh huh are we going" I wasen't feeling well so we ended up staying home. :(

I know that look well! We were out of town this weekend and Sam stayed with some friends. When we picked him up on Sunday night, I think he thought we were going to the park. When we didn't he pouted for a while. Then he thought we were going on Monday morning, but when he saw me in my suit for work, he got mad at me and wouldn't talk to me until that evening.

As long as this weekend clears up a little like it is supposed to, we will be there on Sunday!

Well, we took Sam out there yesterday and my husband took him today. We figured since he missed out last week, we should give him extra time this weekend.

He is finally getting into the water to where it's up above his back! It's just taken time for him to get used to it!
