It was a great day at the bark park. Getting hotter every weekend. I am going to try and get a friend to come with me (to keep an eye on Mailani) so I can handle Ikaika and leave to drop him off if necessary. Maybe if we go super early and play in the small dog park until Ikaika gets used to it.

I think it hurts me more than it hurts him. I Feel awful that we go without him. I think one day I will have to pay for a pet psychic to find out what I can do to eliminate his aggression with male dogs.

hey folks!! we're back from the valley (south texas)!! zeus had a blast! we took family portraits in which everyone insisted zeus had to be a part of. (i was happy!) and then on saturday, we went to the beach (south padre island). this was zeus' first time out there. he was freaking out at first, but then he loved it. he was running back and forth and even surprised me as he swam after my sister-she was headed to where the waves were higher away from the beach.

this weekend, we won't be able to go out to the dog park....it's father's day weekend. can we shoot for the 27th?
silverstar, if you can't find a friend to go w/you, you can always leave mailani w/me while you drop off ikaika. just a thought...

That might be an idea. Of course, I would have to make sure we arrive at the same time so Mailani can walk in with you. I would really hate to have you all meet Ikaika and things not go well. First impressions ya know. Really he is a big baby.

We're planning on going out there this weekend again, maybe Saturday and Sunday to really run off some energy! Of course, with the weather we've been having, who knows if we'll be able to go!

If you want to leave Mailani with us, she can stay and play with Sam. Maybe she can convince him to go in the water!

Jenn, I don't think the weather will matter in Sammy's case....he gets muddy anyway He is so adorable though, you have to admit. He surely enjoys himself.

We may head out this weekend. I hate to miss a weekend, Mailani just loves to go. And I'm hoping she won't have to annouce her arrival the more she goes. She announced herself Sunday until she got to the pond on the left. I couldn't help but laugh at her. She cracked me up. She could have been so excited too. She whined until we arrived, then she just barked to let everyone know she was there. Crazy girl.

I knew she wouldn't hurt a fly, since she is the one that usually submits and plays with little puppies, but other people just looked at her like she was mean, at first.

You are right, this weather wouldn't make a difference for Sammy! In fact, it might be a blessing if it were raining, it would help me and Philip in the clean-up before we can let Sam back in the car! And yes, he does have a lot of fun!

Of course, so does Mailani always manages to find more energy no matter how tired she seemed to be getting! And I think she likes jumping around with Philip!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good weather on Sunday! We won't be able to go next weekend, so I am really hoping we can get him out there. I think he knows when it's Sunday now!

Mailani and I will hopefully show up this Sunday and we are planning for next Sunday.

Sammy is a hoot! And Mailani....well she's a character all on her own.

woo-hoo!! hubby and step-daughter are going out of town for the weekend, leaving zeus and me by ourselves...what to do, what to doOoooo?? oh i know, we're headed to the dog park sunday morning. see you all there...i should be in around 9:30 at the latest.
