play dates in Houston, TX

Another successful day at the park. Mailani is becoming more at home there. She (of course) barked all the way in (not sure how I am going to curve that one). After that, the first thing she did was find the water. She is even drinking from the fountains.

She played chase and had a blast. She got muddy but then had no problems rinsing off (I think she welcomed the nice cool "fresh" water). We met Sammy, Jenn and her husband. Sammy is a hoot!

There was also Poison Ivy and another one year old that were leaving when we arrived. Soon after a beautiful brindle boy arrived and played for a while. Dixie and Jake were there for a bit. It was a wonderful time.

I really do need to figure out how to get Ikaika out there without any problems :( I feel so bad for him everytime we leave and come back. He knows we go "somewhere".

We had a blast out there on Sunday. Mailani is adorable and so full of energy! Now if only she could get Sam swimming! You missed it though, before we left he was actually stepping in the water with all 4 legs! He would shy away whenever other dogs would come splashing around him, but then he would get right back in. I think he is just testing the water to see if it will be okay. Maybe he'll get in more next time!

I can't wait to take him back, he just loves it there! And he has figured out where we are going before we get to the parking lot too and just like Mailani gets VERY excited and is ready to get out of the car!

i'm sorry i couldn't be there... :( i ended up going out of town at the last minute on saturday afternoon. i don' thave access to this website until i get to work. sorry i missed you all...i need to get phone #'s from you all to make it easier to keep in touch.

I don't know whether or not we are going to head out this weekend. I have a bunch of things to do, work included :(

If I do make it out will be early in the morning for a little while.

We are going to try to make it out on Sunday. We'll probably try to go a little earlier than usual and get there around 9:00. It's just getting so hot now.

I just found this thread....I want to join this little boxer group at the Bark Park!! We are in La Porte so it takes us 45 minutes to an hour to get there, but we've been out a few times and Jackson and Karma LOVE it.

Just to let you guys know, a new bark park is opening at 610 and I10 on the East side and we are working on getting one in the Clear Lake Area.

Hopefully we can join you guys soon!

We would love to have you join us. I love it that the group is growing. We need to plan another date to where most if not all can be there.

So far I guess Sunday morning is what we are shooting for. I am going to try my best to be there. But like Jen, if I do, it will be early in the morning ( like 8 ). Although Mailani can just last forever...mommy can't.

Ps. I think I found a fenced in area for Ikaika to play. I think I may take him out Saturday morning to a school area. It's not too far from the apartment and it looks good. Wish me luck.
