HURRAY!!!
Milly Bush is finally dry enough to romp and play in again!
We had Sebastian out Sunday...didn't see hardly any other boxers though except Griffin (I don't know if his owners are on here), but we still had fun.

i finally took zeus out there as well yesterday. he had a blast...he was terrorized by a pack of chihuahuas and weiner dogs. and i think he wanted to play w/this great dane that didn't want to have anything to do with him. we also met rocky, a dark fawn male boxer with the cutest underbite. he was adorable. we were probably there around noon. i was surprised at how much the water has receded but then again, it's been about a month, huh?

Of course it is a little tight, but its on. Hopefully I could walk around the park a little bit in a week or two. Patti, I may call you and schedule it around when you will be there. Just in case Mai'lani takes off on me.

that's great news! just let me know when you want to go over to the park and we'll show up and i'll even go by your place and pick you up if you'd like. that way, you're not putting too much stress on your foot.

Another break-in

Warning to single females going to the park. The boxer parents were all talking when one went out to find her car was broken into. This was Sunday Dec 26th in the early afternoon. A few of us stuck around to be sure the cops arrived, but would you believe the constable that showed up first was responding to a 'dog off the leash' call and made the girl wait until he verified that there were no dogs off the leash outside of the park? An HPD officer did arrive about 1o minutes later, but this was still 2 hours since we first called. Be careful out there, I don't want to have to stop going, Sebastian would never forgive us!!!

One of the last times we went out one lady told me it has become a problem there. She now takes a purse whether she carries anything or not just so people watching can see there is nothing left to steal.

Absolutely ridiculous! Everytime we have something good in Houston, some stupid (insert profanity) has to go and make people afraid to go and have a good time. And our law enforcement departments......we won't even get me started on that system.

I hope things get better soon. For everyone's sake.

Sebastian won't let us skip out

My husband and I have been taking Sebastian on the weekends around 9AM both Saturday and Sunday. He will tell us when we're supposed to get ready and sure wouldn't let us get away without going to see his girlfriend out there...

Hi everyone,

It's kinda weird writing again to this thread that I started so long ago! But I am so glad you guys are keeping it active!
I quit going to Millie Bush Park because it is so far away from my house. We live in Cypress and it takes us 40 minutes to get there. It almost eats up the whole morning! The good news for Porter is that they are finally about to open a dog park much closer to us, on Telge road, close to Copperfield, Coles Crossing and Stone Gate areas. Actually two with Bear Creek! So that's where we'll be on weekends and more often during the summertime.

I hope there will be other Cypress area boxers joining Porter and I to these new locations (I hope they open soon!!!)
