no pigs either for the sergeant major! i made that mistake when he was a baby! made him very poopy!!!! poor baby was sick for days...scared me 2 death!

I read that any rawhide is especially hard on a boxer's stomach, and pigs ear, and feet aren't good either. We are keping maggie strictly on dog food, and doggy treats, and she doesn't seem to be missing anything. Plus, if any of this stuff adds to the poops, that would be scary, considering what this three month old is already capable of.

After reading the good and bad about pig's ears, Bandit WILL NOT ever get pig's ears, I used to give him rawhides and they made a huge slimmey, puke looking mess.

We have never given pig ears because of all the different horror stories I've heard. Stomich problems, chocking, etc..No chancing it here.

This is one of those topics where everyone has varied opinions. I give my baby pigs ears every once in a while as a special treat. I was advised from my vet not to give them to him too often because they are fattening. Just thought I would put in my two cents too!

I only give my girls pig ears as a treat once in a while and only when I'm there to supervise. Once the pig ear gets small, I take them away otherwise my girls try to swallow them and I have to retrieve them out of the back of their mouths.

I think they're okay occasionally as long as you use caution.

Baxter loves pigs ears and has had no problem with them. However when I took him to a dog show with the breeder I bought him from e said she thought his teeth were wearing. The only thing I could think of hark enough to do this was the pigs ears. Sorry Baxter no more pigs ears for you, especially after hearing all of the other problems people have been having with their dogs eating them!!!

Rocky has never had a problem with rawhide or pig ears. He's actually lost interest in the pig ears over the last year, but he still likes to gnaw on a rawhide bone every now and then. We get the bubble gum or peanut butter flavored ones. He chews just a little and goes on to something else. He's 4 now and I guess he finally grew up, but I think after reading all these posts that we're not going to chew pig ears or rawhide anymore.

Ohhh Nope to Pig's ear and as well as rawhide, Simba Will swallow them whole, If I go to get it from her when its almost the size of her mouth to where she puts it is there She trys to gulp it whole. So I dont give her anything like that. Due to the fact that I had herd it stops up her stystem If not digested and swallowed in chunk's. But when she did get them she loved it. But she dont no more .
