Pits or Boxer?

I too have a white Boxer and she is ALWAYS mistaken for a pit. I think it's because when she is cautious around strangers her ears are down and I can see why she would be mistaken for one. I just smile and say NOPE she's a boxer! When we first got our Rev Brindle I sent emails to all our family and friends with a pic and I'd say 95% thought he was a pit. I know it's aggrevating <sp?> but I just let it go....I have more important things to get upset about. :D
We know what breed they are and to heck with the ignorant others.

** I would call your local Vinyl Graphics/Sign shop and ask them what it would cost to make you a sign like you are trying to find.** I have a vinyl graphics business and I know that it wouldn't take much for them to whip one up for you.....The local "Mom&Pop" business would be the better bet price wise.

I don't worry about what people think my boxer is. I did have 1 person ask if he was a pit and at the time my son was also walking his dog(AmStaff) . I answered "No, she is" and pointed at my son's dog. There are times when it's handy to one of each with you.

Also I didn't know that people showed Pits. Maybe I just never noticed at the dog shows.

They don't. There is NO SUCH BREED as a "pitbull". There IS : American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and American Pitbull Terrier. The AKC recognizes the first 2 breeds and YES people do breed them and show them. Our AmStaff came from show dog lineage and her grandmother was a champion dog with many show wins. This is a side of the "pitbull" that the average person doesn't see and knows nothing about. A sad side effect of having the evening news as your only source of information about the world.

Just start telling them she's a rotweiller, pit bull, german shephard and chow mix!!! A mix of the 4 "most dangerous" dogs should get them running. They probably won't say anything else at all. They'll just leave a puddle of piddle behind.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is too funny! That would shut them up for sure!

I am amazed at how often we hear that too! Some people are just ignorant!
