Boxer Buddy
Hi all. It was just Duff and me in our queen sized bed last night (and I do mean 'in'... I'm sure you all can relate) and I awoke this morning to find that he had peed IN the bed during the night. What's strange is, he was still laying asleep in the wet area! This is the third time this has occurred in oh, let's say 3-4 months. The first time, I wasn't even sure it was him- I just discovered the wet area eventually. Both the last time and this time, it occurred after we had been on a nice long walk down to the river, and he had tons to drink after we came home. Both times I let him out to pee as usual before we went to bed, and he peed FOREVER. It was like that scene in Austin Powers.
The last time, he wet on the bed, and then peed all over the floor. I could see where he had walked around the bed, maybe trying to wake me? and then he gave up and peed a huge puddle at the foot of the bed. This time, I just awoke to the wet bed under him. I guess what's bothering me is that the first time he didn't bark or anything to signal he had to go, and even more than that, I find it highly strange that a dog would stay laying and sleeping in his own pee when he easily had the option to move!
Does anyone else find this a bit weird? He is otherwise healthy and fine, to my knowledge. He turned 2 in July so it's not like he's getting old and having incontinence problems from that.
Any input welcome...
Thanks, Karen & Duff
