Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know that the rescue has approved us for adopting a dog. Yea! We are now working on getting a dog door installed. The rescue said it may take a little while to find the right dog for us since we have small children and cats. They are looking for a mellow kid-loving dog that will tolerate the felines. She has one beautiful brindle girl in mind, but she hasn't been cat-tested, so we don't know yet if that will work out. I am just so glad that are willing to work with us and I know in the end we will have a great dog. Please pray that I have patience! I am so excited and it is just so hard to wait...:) Aileen

Fingers and paws crossed here, too. May the rescue group find the right Boxer for you and your family, even if it takes a bit of time. It will be worth it!

Congratulations! You're on your way to getting a great boxer! I foster in Ohio and our adoption committee takes placing boxers seriously and they do work hard to place the right dog with the right family. Just be patient. They know what they're doing.

Good luck!! I remember anxiously waiting to find the right dog. You'll get through it! One piece of advice, if you're looking for mellow, kid- and cat-friendly: don't overlook the older dogs. You'll get all the great boxer spirit, but they'll already know how to behave and not go crazy over kids and cats.

Congrats!! I just went through the process also and it can be frustrating but after bringing home my adopted girl this past weekend it is so worth the patience.
