Ok, so she's not a boxer, but we can't think of a name for our new girl! We pick her up this weekend - any ideas? She's a rottie-lab mix, I've got her pic posted in my gallery.

Ok, I realize that she's not a boxer - but I need help people! My husband wants to name this sweet girl Beeferton!! Please! Help me!!

Wow.. Hopefully your Hubby just has a good sense of humor.. Tell him that beeferton sound like something to eat not to name your cute little baby girl and besides it sounding like something on the menu or maybe a name of a bull on a farm <LOL> it sounds more masculine any way.. Hope you can convince him that she needs a something a little more girly.. By the way checked out your photo gallery and Buford is a very handsome boy..
I will post some names that I like.. for her color .. Cinder, Onyx, Java, Pepper, Ebony, Ember.. I'm sure you'll find something just perfect and there will be many BW members to give their suggestions too.. Or How about Beauty and Buford.. Belle and Buford.. Okay I'm going now so others can post too.. Take care enjoy your new fur babie and give that handsome Buford some hugs.. as I'm sure he'll be a little bit jealous since he was the baby..

Ha, I had a talk with Buford to let him know not to worry, we won't forget about him and he'll always be my "special little guy" (to quote marge simpson). My husband thinks that Beeferton is hilarious and I always call Buford "Bufie" so he thought it'd be funny to have "Beefy" and "Bufie". I also think it sounds too masculine. He just called me with the name Senna - it's a race car driver who has passed that trevor (hubby) has a lot of respect for. Still not too hot on the name, but it's better than Beefy!

Yeah.. I like Senna much better then the Beeferton name for a girl any way.. Tell your hubby you'll just have to get another fur baby a boy and then you can have your Beefy and Bufie.. and......... what ever you name your little girl<G>
We have a female little dog named Sienna part autrailian shep mix part neighborhood Casanova she is 8 yrs old we named her that before Toyota came out with a Mini van named Sienna.. We got her name from a crayon in the crayola crayon box called Burnt Sienna which is a redish brown color it just seemed to fit her. She is a little lover, Humm maybe got thoes genes from her Casanova dad :O)
We also have a Katie a dalmation who is 9 she is older and quite grouchy.. and she has some older dog health issues.. We had these two in Calif and we added Riley here in NH there is a picture of all 3 of them on my sons bed when Riley was a puppy in my photo gallery..
Riley Our Boxer was youngest of our 3 dogs and had the best personality.. but I was more attatched to him even with only having him for 3 years.. he just turned 3 on Dec 29 while he was in the Vet hospital fighting for his life.. WE just had such a bond with Him .. I love our others just not in the same way that I loved him.. I know that sounds awful..
Funny cause when my daughter wanted to get him I said NO.. We have enough pets to take care of.. MY Hubby and daughter and Son all wanted a boxer.. so I kind of got out voted.. to add a 3rd Plus when I saw him I kind of caved in too.. He was just too cute.. Plus they all knew I would <G> I've always loved animals..
Who lets the dogs out was my theme song ya think..LOL
Who knew that I'd have such a special bond with him.. yet he belonged to my daughter , yet he spent more time with me.. maybe thats why we bonded so well.. Only to loose him at such a young age.. even with the other two there has been such a void in our home with out Riley around and the daily boxer antics that I loved and miss so much..
I kind of got out voted again by my family when My daughter and son and Hubby again wanted to get another Boxer pup so soon after loosing Riley.. but even though I'm still grieving for him.. I have to admit.. Cody the new additon has been keeping us busy and not just sitting around being sad all the time.. although I still have my moments. and prob will have for a long time. cause nothing can replace Our Special Boy
Ooops sorry I wrote you a book.. Guess I just need to vent thanks for listening..

I'm so sorry to hear about Riley! I have the same kind of bond with Buford. He is MY dog and he is totally a mama's boy. Trevor (husband) always says that Buford treats him like a playmate and me like his mom. When I'm doing things around the house it's like he's attached to my side! It's good that you have Cody now, it will keep you from being too sad. I got Buford shortly after our 12 year old boston terrier, Woody died. I still cried every once and a while but it was nice to have the puppy there to cheer me up!
