Just wanted to update about Henry's vet visit. After my vet called the clinic where he was formerly taken, they told me he hadn't had all his shots. So we got shots and all the other routine stuff and everything was good. He weighed 50 lbs. and they said he was a bit skinny, not too bad.
Everyone is still getting along, still adjusting, but I am pretty sure Henry is here to stay. I look forward to when he is settled in and housebroken, it wears me out watching his every move;)...plus he isn't used to his crate yet so he barks and barks when we first go to bed and then he is ready to get up bright and early about 3 hours earlier than I have been used to..lol.

A very tired but totally happy,
Amy

I know how you feel! I was worn out last year when I got Beau. He had to be watched outside constantly because he climbed the fence! It took about four months before I didn't have to watch him all the time!

Hang in there! It will get better!

I am so happy for you and Henry. I love the name too. He sounds like a sweetheart. I'm jealous. I would love to rescue but my Bugzy is a handful and I just don't have the time and energy with three small skinkids besides. Someday though and I look forward to it. I know what you mean about the potty training. Bugzy is almost 6 months and he's not completely trained. If I leave the door open he'll go out everytine but if it's closed and I don't watch when he's standing by the door he will sometimes go right in front of it. I'm trying to be patient. I just wish he would whine or bark when he needs to go out. Good luck with everything and post some pix!

Update

I think everyone is adjusting well to life with Henry and he seems pretty happy about his new home and family. Henry has already learned the sit command and listens when you say no. He was scared of coming up the steps and through the door and he is over that. He settles much faster into his crate to sleep at night and doesn't bark to get out when DH leaves in the wee A.M. He has only had 3 accidents in the house in the last 2 days, not bad. He still initiates play with the small dogs really roughly, but after they snap at him he backs off and woo woos at them, then comes back a little easier...lol.
Sidda is a little jealous, most of the time when you love on one you end up with them both on top of you :)
We got his neuter appt. for the 30th of this month. snip, snip, Henry
Something cute I noticed...when we called Henry's old vet to try to determine for sure how old he is they said his first vist has been on 12-6-03 and he was 7 weeks old. If you count back from that day, 7 wks, it is Sidda's birthday, Oct. 18th :D So my boxer babies share their birthday a year apart. Cool, huh?

PS...I am picking up film today and will be posting some pics. I have been trying to figure out if Henry is brindle or reverse brindle. He has more black than fawn color on his body, but you can see the fawn color. If someone sees the pic, I would love to know what they think. Thanks!

Oh he is just adorable!!! Congratulations on your new addition! And that's so sweet that Sidda and Henry share a b-day a year apart! I'm sure he will bring you much joy and happiness, and that (eventually) everything will work out between he and your smaller pups :) Keep us posted!
