Our New Baby, Koa

After sending our Dalmatian, Molly, to the Rainbow Bridge in June, we definitely felt the void in our home. In August we came across the Boxer Rescue in LA, and thought we would go see what they had, as we had heard wonderful things about the Boxer breed. We told them what we were looking for, and they brought a few dogs out. They were all special, in their own ways, but then they brought out another dog (by accident) that was a little different. She was a Boxer mix (mixed with ??), and had the sweetest face I've ever seen. We knew right away she was ours, and she has brought so much to our lives. We had some bumps in the beginning, as she suffered from separation anxiety (as many rescue dogs do). But she is now happy and content in her new home, thanks to some training help from Sarah at Boxer Rescue-LA. She is such a joy, and we couldn't be happier to now be part of the Boxer World!

Glad you joined, look forward to hearing about Koa,& thank you for adopting her & giving her a wonderful home.There are far to many dogs in shelters & it takes someone special that will open their hearts & homes for these babies.LOL, Hanley

I'm sorry to hear about Molly but do want to say congrats on bringing Koa to her forever home. She will always be a constant in your heart and bring you so much laughter & smiles you will wonder what you ever did without her Take care.

Thanks to you both! Molly will always be in our hearts, but I can tell you that Koa has already brought us so many laughs and smiles -- such a personality!! When I read about all of the Boxer personality traits on here, I laughed because she has every one of them, even though she's a mix. Sleeping on her back with her legs straight up in the air... makes us laugh every time!
