It truly pains me to write this post, but we need to find a loving home for our 16 month old, female, fawn boxer named Clover – AKC Purebred. We gave her the name Clover based on the markings she had on her snout when she was a little pup (I have some great pics to share for those that are interested). In the spirit of keeping some personal information private I'm going to keep the details for having to find a new home for our pup very brief. The gist of it is my wife and I were recently hit with some tragic news regarding our 4 month old son, so my wife and I are spending our days and nights in the hospital and our precious dog is not getting the attention and exercise that she needs and deserves. We don't have a firm timeline from the doctor's on what we can expect with our son, but we know we're in this battle for the long haul, so we've decided the right thing to do is to try and find a loving home for Clover. She is house broken, fairly well trained (sit, down, off, leave it, wait, etc.) and she adores people and gets along very well with other dogs. She has plenty of energy and needs her daily run, so I'm desperately hoping we can find a good match for her. There is not a day that goes by that I wish we didn't have to take this step, but it's absolutely the right thing to do based on our situation. I know we are all boxer lovers on this site, so I would be thrilled if someone from Boxer World would give our Clover a great home.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Can someone take care of her while your away? Or can you get someone to take her out?

If I were you I would contact your local Boxer Rescue. There is a list of them on this site too. I hope she finds a good home.

Keeping your baby in my thoughts and prayers - I'm so sorry to hear he is so ill.

Also sorry to hear that you must rehome Clover. I agree that Boxer rescue would be your best option. I wish you much success in finding a loving home for your girl.

Thank You

All,

Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. It sounds like a local Boxer Rescue is a good option, so I'm going to start looking into it.

Sincerely,
Clovers Dad

I would love to give Clover a home but I am in Tennessee and have a 4 year old female that wants to play 24/7. She would love to have a buddy.
I do have the room, several fenced acres and we are home everyday. Keep me posted.

Boxer rescue is a good choice but if friends or family can help you out while you are away that would be great a pet with a sick child is also great we had a daugther with rhetts syndrome who passed at 14 and pets were her ultimate favorite her life was spent basically non mobile pets woulod always make her smile and cuddle if someone could help you out while at hospitals that would be great but I volunteer at rescue and I know they would find a good home for your clover
