Orvis Toughchew dog's nest

Has anyone tried the dog bed by Orvis called the Toughchew Dog's Nest? I've heard they are suppose to be really tough and will last, however the reviews on the site aren't all that great. The longest a dog bed has lasted with my Dex is 4 days. He chews up towels, blankets, pretty much anything I give him to lay on. My friends sister has two english bulldogs that are the same way. She got one of the Orvis beds and has only had one problem. After 6 months they broke the zipper so Orvis replaced it for free. They have a guarantee that if your dog chews through it, they'll refund you. I just didn't want to waste my time and fork out $145 on a bed if other boxer owners have had bad luck with it. If anyone has tried it, I've love to hear how it worked out!

No, I have never tried that bed. I never heard of that kind actually. But it sounds like a good deal if they will replace it if the dog chews it up. If you get one, please let us know how it works.

The beds from Costco have actually worked very well for us. They're MUCHMUCH cheaper too: $19.95. Abbi is one to chew anything she lays on as well (we've gone through countless crate blankets/beds) but this one is TOUGH. She did, however, chew the zipper pull thing off and Costco did replace the bed for us for free. I'm not sure if you have a Costco near you but you can also order them online.

Dex got his new bed!

The new bed arrived yesterday so I yanked it out of the box excited for Dex to try it out. It only took him 15 mins to chew a hole in it. I did call them and they gave me a couple of options: refund my money, return mine for a different style or replace the chewed cover for free. I'd like to try it again because I think if he'd lay on it, it might deter his chewing on it. So I think I'm going to exchange it for the round bed so he doesn't have any corners to chew on and see how that works.
