Just a small brag here...my boy Oreo (Mi-T's Double Stuff) was Winner's Dog at the Denton Kennel Club, Denton TX this Mother's Day! What a great present for me, his "mom"! He is 10 months old, and this was his very first weekend to show. He is now officially pointed. He is also my first show dog. I have been training him for the ring, but chickened out on taking him in myself at the last minute, and got someone to handle him for me. He was ring ready, but I'm not quite up to it yet. I am now eagerly awaiting his show pic to come in the mail! Thanks for letting me brag!:D

Completely Boxer Crazy
Congratulations to you and Oreo.
I was wondering how you guys were doing, being that we are both new to this show stuff.
My Cash(just turned 9 mths) has been in a few shows and also got his first point(under a handler-over Easter)
I too am too chicken to go in the ring, but that's about to change,
I'm going in the ring this weekend for the first time and believe me I am a wreck.
Its a tiny outdoor show, so I figured I'd start small and work my way up. I'll use my handler for the bigger shows.
Unfortunatly, they are predicting lots of rain and wind for the weekend. I hope we're not the only ones that show up.

Again, Congratulations and keep us posted.
I have admired Oreo since you posted the first pic.
Just gorgeous.

P.S. My 6 month old bitch makes her debut this weekend too.
My boyfriend is going to show her, so wish us all luck.

GOOD LUCK!

Best wishes on the show this weekend! I'm glad that you are able to get over the fear of stepping into that ring! I will too, one of these days...lol

Let us know how it goes!

Super Boxer
Congratulations, Kimbub! I was looking at your website (specifically, the adorable photo of Oreo with the cookie box and milk) when my two youngest children came in. I wish you could have heard their squeals of delight at Oreo's picture ~ they called him the cutest puppy in the world (good thing our own Boxer didn't hear that one!). :)

That's cute! I certainly hope your boxer did NOT hear! Tell your kids thanks!

congrats !

Congratulations! I know exactly how you feel as Bonzy got his first win on Saturday also.

I am very new to this, and also am still too scared to take him into the ring myself!

Please share your future comps with us, whether he wins or not. I think the "not winning" is even more important to share, as it makes the dissapointment a little easier to cope with ! AFter all - their first priorities are to be our friends and companions, and if we are lucky enough to have a winning dog, it is a just and added bonus and blessing smashicon
