Well.....it all depends on whether Rob arrives with his wine or not
I am sure a good time will be had by all, furbabies and their human companions.
Just an update, I did receive an e-mail from Harvey yesterday regarding the Jan. committee meeting. Seems he is having trouble getting the entire committee together, so he has suggested that he will meet with the few that have responded, go over our proposal to use the park and get back to me. Fingers crossed.

By the way Jean, I won't be bringing that male that I told you about. He is 7 years old, and I wanted to foster and maybe adopt him, but he did not behave very well with Nash. He is too aggresive, and Nash has come along so far already (her foster mom didn't recognize her ) that I didn't want to upset her.

Keep your fingers crossed, as we may be fostering a 4 year old owner surrender. He is supposed to be great with kids and other dogs! So, we may be bringing two after all!

the bash in Oakville

I think this boxer bash is a great idea! appicon I think, though, that it will be difficult to get a drive out to Oakville, as I live in Ottawa. If there is a chance that one is going to be held closer to Ottawa, please pm me, because I would love to attend it!

No word yet :( As far as I am concerned it will be a go, but maybe at another park somewhere. As I stated in one of my previous posts, if anyone knows of another park that is suitable for both our boxers and us, please don't hesitate to say something. It is only Feb, we still have a bit of time to wait on this commitee and Harvey realizes that we will need a final say soon. Last I heard he was having a hard time getting the committee together. If I have heard nothing by next week I will contact him again. In the meantime, bring forth your alternatives.

Some bad news.....

I received an e-mail this week from the committee member that has been my contact. It seems that due to lack of interest with the now standing committee, they are all resigning and talks are being held with the city now as to what to do. ( I take it, that they are hoping the city will take it over, making it public? ) He said he cannot give me a definite answer, due to not knowing what the standing of the city is. So, it appears that park is out of the question for now.
I have started a new job, with very long hours for now, making my time very limited. (Even getting "Kailee time" is short for me now), so I do not have the time to seek out a suitable area for the bash. If any of the rest of you have a park in mind etc. then please let us know. I am here to help with anything I can do from my end to make it happen.

Thanks for the update, what a shame! But congrats on the new job! Are you enjoying it (besides the long hours away from your puppy of course)?

I do not know of a park in my area ... anyone else????

I too was very disappointed when I got the e-mail, but hey all we need to do is locate a park somewhere, that can handle and accept a herd of Boxers :D Then it should be a go!! I too am sooo looking forward to meeting some BW people this year.

Thanks for the congrats on the new job!! Yes I love it and the best part of the day is when I arrive each day to work, Askum the Goodwill Ambassador at the retirment home (He is a Golden Lab) greets me at the main entrance with a wagging tail and a kiss to start my day. Not a boxer, but canine greetings of any sort start my day off well.
