I'm from Ottawa too!

We'd love to get together for a boxer bash in Ottawa. We live in New Edinburgh, close to Stanley Park (along the Rideau River near the old Ottawa City Hall), which has a dog park. It might be a good place to meet because it's halfway between Orleans and Stittsville.

We walk Harry in the park every day. There's lots of room to run around and there are lots of other dogs to play with. In fact, there are 2 other boxers who come to the park (one is 10 and the other is 4, both females) so I could talk to them about coming too.

Linda and Kysha, what do you think?

By the way, Kysha, our dog, Harry, is from Shadowdale too! We got him just about a year ago. We've been really, really pleased with him.

Meeting is coming up within a week

I just heard from the board member and the meeting is to be scheduled within the next couple of weeks. Will let you know how it goes, and hopefully they won't ask for a commitment at that time. However, I am thinking I should have a round about date, just in case they ask. They are saying June so can you all let me know what will work for you?
I have also been working on some behind the scenes things for doggie bags for each dog in attendance. (Some companies have offered freebies) I will be e-mailing you all to let you know what I am up to.

Catherine - we are really happy with Shadowdale too. Tegan's dad is Harley (Ch Huffands Harley 'D'), and Owen's dad is Leader (Ch Shadowdale's Leading Edge). Who are Harry's parents?

If we could get together in Ottawa, that would be great too - the more boxers the better!!

Count us in! Sorry I am only replying so late. Pisu will love to attend the bash. If the bash is in June, Pisu will also have a boxer sister, so it will be great for her as well.

Tatiana would love to have you! And wow a new sister too. As soon as I have attended the meeting, and have more particulars I will notify everyone on here, and then perhaps by e-mail we can get this event organized. Hopefully we can get a LOT more people interested! Be in touch soon.
BTW did Pisu get her coat? We got Kailee's and I am very impressed with it.

Yes, he got his coat. Now he thinks that he is invincible, and runs through bushes and branches wormicon For some reason though, if I want to put the coat on when he is inside the house, he starts barking at me :confused: but as soon as we are in the car, and he knows we will go hiking, he is fine appicon There are pictures with him with the coat in my gallery.

Harry's mother is Shadowdale CH Kayenine Keepsake (Dani) and his dad is Shadowdale CH Limited Edition (Eli). We aren't planning on showing Harry, although we constantly receives comments on how handsome he is. He's quite slender and has long, long legs. He weighs about 60-65 pounds right now. He had giardia in the fall from which he has recently recovered (lost quite a bit of weight). We're curious to see how big he will be when he is full grown. I'm told that is at about 18 months, so we've got 4.5 months to go.

It would be great to get together some time. There used to a young boxer that Harry played with regularly in the mornings but they recently moved out of the neighbourhood. It was really fun to see him play with another boxer. He is playful with most breeds (anyone who is willing to play with him, really) but seeing two boxers really play hard (lots of running and boxing) is great for them, and lots of laughs for us. So sure, we should arrange it.

Ontario boxer bash

I would love to come to the boxer bash. I am new to Boxer world. Kahlua loves other dogs and we have only ever met one other boxer. I am also looking for anybody in the Aurora/Newmarket area of Ontario who is looking for a playmate for their boxer. Kahlua doesn't have any friends yet. :(

We're from Toronto and would love to participate in a "Boxer Bash". My Sable loves to play with other dogs and I can't imagine what she'd think seeing a whole bunch of boxers together to play with.

One question though, who is going to have more fun, the fur babies or the humans.
