Was just wondering how many were in for the Ottawa bash so far? will have to try and make a list. met a new boxer yesterday and invited her to the bash too.

Ah, thats our Boxer Rescue Ontario bash! I was supposed to post about that. I'll go to the events and do that now. Anyhow, if anyone wants details on the BBQ day mentioned above, I am one of the people organizing it for BRO, so you can email or PM me with questions.

The BBQ should be a great hit - it's one of the reasons I over slept and missed our BW bash - it takes a lot of time and energy to plan a day like this one... it would be great to see some BW members there. If you see a volunteer with a name badge on saying 'Jenn' - that's me!

Hi everyone! Glad to see the Toronto bash was a success!

Scorpio:
I still want to come even if I won't have a dog...If I would of gotten my original puppy he would have been just ready to meet new friends but for now no puppy....althought... I could bring my cat Panther he's just as big as a Boston Terrier with his 25 pounds...(just kidding) I'm still planning on being there sans dog.

(We had found boxer friends on our street...maybe if I tell them I won't be getting a puppy right away they will let me borrow their girl Huuuuummmmmmmm!:D )

Yes we plan on being there. Tegan, Owen, and myself (Kysha) - I might even be able to convince the hubby to come too!

I have it written on my calendar and everything! I have a wedding to attend later in the afternoon, but we will be there for the entire morning (not sure how long everyone plans on playing for).

Kysha, I don't think you have to worry about missing out on anything when you go for the wedding... End of Julky is usually so hot that a bunch of boxers may last downwards of an hour! Brittain especially will be pooped after 15 minutes.

Coleman (our 5 year old brindle baby) and Angela and Rob will be at the Ottawa boxer bash this summer. Can't wait to meet all of you and your furbabies!

Ottawa bash

Does anyone know of any pet friendly (I meant boxer friendly) B&B's or hotels? Shadow would love a short mini trip.

Some that I have found ask you to inquire about animal acceptance:
-The Urban Bed and Breakfast
-Radclyffe House
-Juniper Lodge B&B (in Kanata its far from Downtown Ottawa but close to the bash)

I only found two that accept animals for sure:
-Natural choice/4 Nature
-Beatrice Lyon Guest House

Otherwise for hotels:

Delta Hotel Ottawa
Residence Inn by Marriott (for a fee)
Quality Hotel Ottawa
and I believe the Hampton Inn

and sorry I can't tell you if any are Boxer friendly!!!
