Is Anybody Else Going to Jack Darling

OK. so there has not been a flood of people wanting to attend. Will anyone else be going to Jack Darling Park in Mississauga. I know it is sort of a long weekend here, so maybe many people are going out of town. :cool:

Its my daughters birthday party on Saturday...otherwise I would be there with flying colours...or shall I say jowls !!!:D :D

Please keep me in mind for the next one...I so need to go to a Boxer Bash !!

After a long week of paint and drywall jobs, I'm afraid I slept in! I'm very upset about this, and hubby is avoiding me because I'm grumpy now. I thought about racing down, but it's a 1.5 hour drive, maybe an hour if I speed. I'm so sad.... perhaps some of the more eager BW members from the Toronto or north of TO areas would be kind enough to send me a PM or email, and we can arrange a day that starts later - gives me space in case I sleep in. :(

Anyone who is there right now: I hope you are having a blast!

Hey everyone! I went down to Jack Darling at about 10:15am today and after some driving around looking in all the different places I managed to see one boxer there. A beautiful white playing happily with others. Unfortunately I had the MIL's poodle with me (see thread about poodle with seperation anxiety) so by the time we got parked and got him out of the car he was already going nuts. There was no other choice then to turn around and come home, he would have made everyone nervous I'm afraid. He's small but very agressive and vocal (also not very well socialized). I hope more boxers showed up eventually and I hope they all had a great time. Maybe next time I'll have a boxer instead and I can join in all the fun.

The Bash was a Hit! We had 50 plus dogs in attendance, but only two were boxers. Thanks to Shadow and Parents for showing up. Wannabamommy the beautiful white you say was Chopper and as always she has a great time anywhere she goes. Sorry you couldn't make it in. It was a good day to be up and out in the sun. If we don't work we may try for the Ottawa Bash in July. If anyone wants Play days or a mini bash anytime just let us know. Bye for now.

lquenne: I'm so glad you had a good time! Chopper too! It was too funny because we were driving to the end of the park and back looking to see where the boxers might be when all of a sudden I caught a glimpse of her bouncing around having a blast. I'm sorry I didn't get in to see her as well. Is Shadow from BW as well? I know I'm not working the weekend of the Ottawa bash and my father is currently working in Ottawa so it might be a good excuse to make the trip! Hope to see some beautiful boxers there!

I do believe that Shadows parents are B.W. members as they were also at the last bash in 2002. Maybe we will see you in Ottawa.

I am bitter!!!

I can't believe I just got this message about the bash TODAY (7:30 PM!)! GRR! My husband and I were just talking about hopefully attending a bash if there was one around us this year! I haven't been on BW in so long- we just had our first baby on May 7, and the little man's obviously been keeping me busy! What a day for me to finally log on. :rolleyes:
Maybe another one will be planned for later in the summer... I would love to have Duff meet some other boxers. He's having his first birthday on July 10 and I think he's only met one other since leaving his litter!

Karen.... feeling very put out! lol
