Unethical (long)
Well, as the owner ofa beautiful white myself, i'll empart what limited knowledge i know.
White boxers, as any "white" animals, are more prone to deafness, blindness and other genetic disorders. They are not recognized by the breed standard and are thus unable to be registered (for breeding purposes). We can registered ours with the CKC but only on a limited reg. basically as a pet. They can show in obedience and agility but not in conformation (breed standard). A lot of breeders were known to put the whites down at birth due to the fact they cannot be bred/shown in conformation. Breeding two whites to get more whites increases the chance of genetic disorders.
However, many breeders are now keeping the white puppies to sell as pets, keeping in mind they shouldn't charge as much for a white one as a brindle or fawn. The biggest reasoning to not breed for white is that it violates the breed standard, they have an increased occurrance of blindness/deafness and thus it is unethical breeding.
Thus said, Konah and i are trainign for agility and obedience and we'll be working towards therapy when he gets a little older and more "calm" *L*. I love my white baby and wouldn't trade him for all the brindles or fawns in the world.
