My 7 year old male boxer, was diagnosed yesterday with lymphoma .The oncologist found enlarged lymph nodes in his abdomen . Back in november the veterinarian could not figure out why he had high calcium so instead of doing an ultrasound he was pumped with steroids and of course the calcium returned to a normal level. I knew it would be back up and I should of listened to my gut feeling and insist he have an ultrasound. Two weeks after stopping the pred he ruptured his ACL ,he was scheduled for surgery however due to the dianognis of lymphoma he cant surgery. He started chemotherphy today and recieved his first two doses of vincristine and asparaginase along with IV fluids ,predisone, reglan, and pepcid ..I am praying it is successful . .I would never forgive myself if I didnt do everything possisble to save his life. I hate seeing him sick ..Today it was $1500 today and then $600 every week for 12 weeks...So I know I am going to struggle for awile finanically but Valentino is my life and just the thought of not him not being in my life makes me physically naueous. I am praying this works!

Oh boy what a tough time you and Fluffy are having, just spoil her rotten, the more she eats IMO the stronger she will be to fight as with cancer the stronger the body the harder it is for the cancer to take over and it a dogs dream to eat, eat and eat a little more and dont forget to look after yourself you have also been through the mill dealing with this.

Wishing Fluffy many more happy and comfortable days :) At least you know what you are dealing with now and I'm sure that helps your decisions feel a little more reassured. Were I in the same position I would do the same.

I'm wishing for Fluffy many happy days, and for you peace of mind. If I were you I would be doing the exact same thing. Hugs to you both!

Just wanted to update that Fluffy has been on the meds for a few days now and seems to be tolerating everything. No vomiting or diarrhea so far. She still seems to be feeling ok.

Just wanted to update that Fluffy seems to be responding well to her meds. The bloody discharge and odor has decreased significantly. I cannot see the tumor because it’s inside her rectum but these decreased symptoms must be a good sign. She continues to be her happy, hungry self.
