Not to many Virginians here

I know sooooo many people in my area that have boxers and I tell a lot of people about this site, but I never see very many people from VA on here, esp. in the Boxer Bash site. Just wondering how so many other states are so represented? I wanted to see about having a b-day party for Bosco in Aug. and plan on inviting the people that I know but it would be fun to meet others.

We're in VA! I've seen quite a few others from VA who post. But, like you, I've never seen anything in the Boxer Bash section. What part of VA are you from?

I'm from southern Maryland about 40 minutes from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and 60 minutes from Frederickburg. I'd be interested in a play date or bash if someone is close by.

I am in Hanover County, Va which is off of RT. 95 going towards Fredericksburg. 20 minutes north of Richmond and about 45 minutes from Fred. I think. I would love to be able to get together with other boxers ar a park or something but I don't know much about the Maryland/DC area. It may be something to check into?

Well, we've got a few small dog parks in Northern VA but I've heard there's a dog beach somewhere between DC and Fredricksburg. I'll do some checking and see what I can find out.

Gainesville/Haymarket VA

We're out here! We've tried to coordinate, however never really happened! I'm game once Roxy's out of her cast. She broke a toe 2 weeks ago. Its so sad..... she can't play with her boxer brother Buster or her boxer cousins. But she'll be ready August/September to play again. And watch out for those first Boxer burns when she's all better!

Sorry to hear about Roxy's toe. That sounds painful. hope she gets to feeling better soon.

We aren't in VA now, but we will be soon. The military is moving us to northern VA very shortly! We can't wait to meet new boxer friends and do some serious playing!

We live in Northern Virginia. A few years back some of us from the area got together at a dog park in Arlington, and also a dog park near Annapolis (for the Maryland folks). We haven't done anything for a long time. It's been a while, but I used to take Lacy to the dog park on Blake Lane in Vienna. The dog park in Reston is supposed to be nice too. Also, I just saw in the newspaper that the dog park in Centreville has been approved, but I think it will be a while until it's built. It is supposed to be a part of a new park that Fairfax County is building in Centreville.

The Centreville dog park has been approved but there is still a lot of fundraising we need to do. I don't think it'll be open for a while. The only dog beach I can find is in Annapolis, MD on Chesapeke Bay. Alexandria has a ton of places dogs can run free. Where is a good mid-point?
