Today I took Zoe in and weighed her on the scales at Petsmart. She ways 42.5lbs She turned a year old in February is this about average for a female boxer??? Just wondering. Thanks!
Daysha,
I'm sorry I can't help you out here as my Boz is only 5 months and 35 lbs. There is a thread in the boxer ring forum comparing the weights of pups. If I knew how to post a link I would but I have not figured out how to do that yet. It's not very old (on the 1st page) and it's started by shy the boxer. Hope this helps :D
Zoe sounds fine to me. The average weight of a fully grown female boxer is approximately between 55 & 65 lbs. At just over 12 months old Zoe has a lot of growing & filling out still to come. Boxer don't tend to finish growing until somewhere between the ages of 2 & 3. Our female, Ali, is on the small side at 50lbs at 3 1/2 years old.
Here is the link that Tanyaj77 mentioned may be of interest to you. http://www.boxerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21268
Maya who is 13 months old weighs and had that problem with
runny stool is now at 63.5 pounds. She probably lost about a pound or two with her upset tummy.
Gidget was a year old Tuesday and weighs in at 46#s. I personally think that is a little lite but she is still growing. I did try the Satin Balls also which did put almost 10#'s on her in about 3 weeks.
Like humans, every boxer is different. Megan will be two and weighs 54 pounds. I try not to worry about her weight as long as she looks good and I can see those first few ribs. I figure that is what counts.
Good news! she has put on some weight. I took her to the vet for her annual shots and she is up to 50lbs!!! Im gonna try to keep her at this weight she looks perfect now! Im so excited! Thanks for the replies guys!
My girl Lexi is 18 mopnths old and 46lbs - vet says is Ok and as everyone else says...she has a wasy to go... a friend of ours had a thin boxer and then at 3 years, it filled out beautifully.
Hi Marcia, Do you have the recipe for the satin balls? I have heard of them before, but I don't know what they are made with? I have one very hard keeper, and shows are coming up. Thanks Your welcome to email it to me. Cindy
