I can totally understand your feelings but from the otherside of the shoe. We went to a dog park to meet others from here today. Sapphire did good with the other boxers but had 2 incidents with other dogs. 1 I think she thought was my friends bischon who she has ruff housed with before. The other who was a German Shepard. She only swatted the shepard and got her on her back. We have only had Sapphire for 2 months but have never been told of any aggressive behavior. She did good with the dogs at obedience school, she loves to play. I feel for the lady who had the aggressive dog, but if I knew that my dog had aggressive issues I wouldn't bring her/him to a dog park after only having it for 2days....or in my case 2 months. I was embarrassed because Sapphire did have those problems, I was upset because she seemed depressed when she had to leave and I was pissed with the old man who was ignorant and 2 faced to me. So I understand your frustration just from the otherside.

I'm sorry I missed the bash and I'm really sorry to hear about this incident. Poor baby!

Maybe next time we could try another park. Would anyone be up for meeting next Saturday or Sunday (30 or 31) at Brenman Park in Alexandria? It's easy to get to and a really great park.

Hi guys,

Sorry we couldn't get back from Gaithersburg soccer in time. Trust Rocky is on the mend too. What a shame that no-one could make it in the end and then this aggression from a new owners boy. Perhaps a get together of high energy boxers is not the best place to bring a dog with aggression issues.

As we had to postpone our road trip I am definately up for next weekend - We could go firm on Saturday, but would be working around the soccer again on Sunday. I am sure that there will be a good turnout next time as so many people were interested, and it is probably just what Rocky and his family need.

If everyone agrees to Brenman Park, I'll post directions to Brenman Park later in the week for everyone. It's super easy and plenty of parking. It's in Cameron Station off of Route 236 (Duke Street). Hopefully the weather will be great! I just told Bella and she is super excited :) George is still recovering from his leg surgery so he'll be observing.

Riley's leg seems to be doing better, so count us in for a bash this weekend! I am going to rest her the next few days so by Sunday she will be ready for major playing!

Rain for this weekend!!!

Well, I've checked the five day forecast, and it's not looking to good. There are going to be a lot of wet tricker treaters out there! Thunder and lightening on Saturday so that is definitely out (plus it's my godsons birthday... can't miss that!). Rain showers on Sunday but just in case the weatherman is wrong (HA! like that never happens) here are directions. I'll be there at 1 p.m.

From I95 (north or south): Take the Van Dorn Street exit North (left at the top of the exit). Go to the third light and make a right onto South Pickett Street. This ends at Duke Street where you will make a right. Go through the next light (CVS and Honda dealer on left) and take the 2nd right (Brenman Park). It's a small uphill exit that ends at the park. There is a small rec bldg with a parking lot straight ahead and one to the right (which will probably be full if there is a soccer game on). If this lot is full you need to drive around the lake to the far corner where there is another lot. Next to the parking lot is a little league field. Walk around this and the there is a path going across a small bridge. You will see the dog park as you cross the bridge.

From 395: Take the Duke Street exit. Go past Landmark Mall, straight towards Old Town, I think it's 6 lights to where the CVS and Honda dealer are, after which you take the 2nd right (Brenman Park).

Hope the weather holds out and everyone can make. :)
