I think it is a different event because the one at the Holiday Inn is free but that bakery is cuter than the one we go to. We will probably go visit that one after the dog park and barkery then while we are in town visit the one you just posted. Might as well make a day of it.

I may join you. I take Bella down to Old Town just to walk around. It is amazing how many people stop to pet her and how great she is about it. One time this lady was petting her and telling me about her boxers at home (tourist) and her husband was just standing there. Well, Bella wouldn't have any of that! She walked right up to the guy and head butted him in the leg and sat down in front of him with this look that said "Hey, I am cute! Pet me now!" The lady just started laughing and the man was very apologetic to Bella. LOL!

We may do the same, maybe even walk around old town too. Ok so at the park at noon then the barkery after right?

This gets better and better. Yup, dog park, barkery and then bakery for us anybody is welcomed to join. Alexandria is probably the friendliest place around for our canine babies they have so much to do. I can tell Bella is a total boxer she needs the attention just like our Rocky. They do the funniest things.

I hope this weather holds out for us tomorrow. It is perfect. Hope to see you all there at noon. Last time we went there was water in the dog park but we are bringing our own just in case.

I'm sorry but I don't think that Bella and I are going to make it. I was up all night with George who seems to have a really bad cough/cold. I'm taking him to the vet in a bit.

Unfortunately, Riley has been limping for the last few days and I was hoping she'd be better today so she could go and play! We went to the Hydrant Dog though, hoping we'd see someone. I wanted to go to the park and say hi to everyone else, but my boyfriend insisted that Riley would go nuts if she couldn't go play. Riley was still favoring her back paw today though and rough-housing probably would have made it worse. I hope we can have another bash soon!

Anyone else have any future dates in mind!
I was SO sad that we couldn't meet up today!

Guess what happened!

We went and there was a boxer already at the park and I asked the lady if she was from BW but she said she just heard there was going to be a boxer get together or something. She didnt really say anything else..I hung up a sign I made that had a boxer and bones and said BOXER BASH. Anyway Our baby was running around with other dogs and her boxer attacked Rocky. I dont mean rough play I mean attack! It happened right infront of me and hubby ran over and pulled the boxer off Rocky I could tell the owner was very upset about it. She said that she just got the boxer 2 days ago and they told her he was aggresive. The boxer was on top of Rocky and rocky was on the ground with his legs up. My baby is so so so sweet he didnt growl back or anything. Daddy got him and checked him out but once Rocky got on all fours he just wanted to play. The owner asked if he was okay and she held her dog I tried to talk to her a little just to find out what was up all she said was that she just got him and she knew he had aggresive issues I knew she was embarassed about what had just happened. She said it probably wasnt her boxers day to be out so I waited for them to leave she still had him inbetween her legs but they never did she just held him. I dont know why she would bring him but anyhow I told her we were leaving to take a walk and would be back after a while. We just thought we would wait for some friendlier boxers to show up..but none did we know it was an ugly day. She held her boxer in between her legs and I swear when Rocky would run by he wanted a piece of him. Well on our walk I kept an eye on the boxer who by the way was so handsome and beautiful. Sure enough I saw her have to straddle him again because he was getting agressive with another dog. On our walk daddy got a towel and wiped Rocky and we noticed 2 scrapes that were red but not really bleeding. THANK GOD!!! no bleeding you could just see the scrapes. We went to the truck and washed the scrapes and put neosporin that I carry everywhere. We decided to walk back to the park and the lady saw us coming and she left. She did say that her boxer tried to attack another dog. Rocky ran for literally another 3 minutes and then we went to the bakery for some treats. Can you guys believe it! Dad down played the whole thing so I wouldnt be upset but I could tell he was upset and just so happy no deep cuts happened to his baby boy. When we got home dad took Rocky a bath and we found some more scratches on his underside! Like I said thank god no bleeding but definetely ugly scratches. So now my baby is walking around with neosporin all over. LOL. We werent mad we were just upset. The situation could have been a lot worse. To be honest I guess I am a little mad because she brought an aggesive dog to the park. Can you guys believe another boxer did this. None the less my baby had a good time but I am still a little shaky as I write this. Anyway I am sorry we didnt run into you Erica and Riley but we went to the fetch bakery first and on the way home we ended up passing the hydarnt barkery by and didnt want to turn around just thought it best to get home before anything else happened. Hope Riley feels better soon. Well thats what happened so in a way I guess it is best the whole boxer bash didnt work out because I would of hated for someones fur baby to get really hurt. Hubby says maybe next time will be better but to tell you the truth after this I am scared. Alright I am going to cuddle with my baby and hubby now who are waiting for me.

I am so sorry to hear that your baby was attacked at the park! That is so scary...Riley always comes home from the park with scratches all over her but she just likes to play rough with all of her favorite friends. One of Riley's good buddies is a standard poodle who goes after legs. Well, sure enough Iris passed on this wonderful habit to Riley as well as some of the other regulars at the park! =) I always come home and put Neosporin on her scratches too. I think her limp came from playing at the dog park (if not, then I don't know what happened)...she's like the energizer bunny there on some days...which definitely includes getting knocked down and falling in the mud if it has rained! I hope your little guy has a speedy recovery!
