It seems like we are going to have quite a turnout on Sunday!! This is so exciting! Count Riley and I in for the barkery afterwards...she wouldn't have it any other way (and neither would I!) We can't wait!

Hi everyone,
I just got an email about the weather and I looked up the forecast and it is "supposed" to be rain on Sunday but not Saturday I know we all decided Sunday would be best so should we come up with a rain date??? Whatever happens we(hubby,myself and Rocky) still plan on going to the barkery to order a new collar and if the weather is good we still plan on the dog park. We have been excited all week about seeing other boxers and now this...just thought I would put it out there. All I know is if I dont see boxers this weekend I will be put into boxer stalking overdrive!!!LOL Also, Rockys trainer is going to e mail us some info on a Halloween costume in Alexandria for our pooches so I will pass that along when I get it unless someone already has the info they would like to share.

Halloween Costume???
There are only two places that I can think of that might have halloween costumes 'specially for furbabies... Old Towne School for Dogs (which is were Bella learned her manners!) and there is another barkery down in Old Town Alexandria, the name of which completely escapes me (uhhh, senior moment) but I can tell you how to get there!
I hope it doesn't rain on Sunday but if it does just let me know the raindate. I'm good on Sundays, not so good on Saturdays.

Yeah we are definetely still going on Sunday even if it turns out just to be the barkery. I will post info on the costume party when I get the info.

I looked at the forecast too, but I'm confident that Mother Nature will smile on us and give us good weather for our Boxer Bash! So unless its raining around noon we're still on Sunday right? Riley is very pysched about the barkery too!

5th Annual Doggie Costume Contest
Here is the information guys. October 28th from 5-8pm 480 King St Alexandria VA Holiday Inn Selects world famous doggie happy hour concludes its season with the Halloween costume contest with treats and prizes. You can visit www.doggiehappyhour.com or 703 549 6080. I'm not sure if we are going to make it yet but sounds like fun.

Halloween Parade/Trick or Treating for Dogs
No sure if this is the same thing. The barkery I previously referred to is Fetch Bakery, 101 South St. Asaph Street. It is right around the corner from the Holiday Inn. www.fetch-bakery.com (i think!) Their site says they are having a trick or treating for dogs. You need to pre-register by 10/23 and the event is $8/dog. Proceeds go to the Alexandria Animal Welfare League (my 2 cats previous home!). There are some really cute pics from last years event. Notice that there are no Boxers in any of the pics! Something must be done about this!
