newfie w/hip dysplasia

Hello all. I have a quick question. I'm doing some research for a friend who has a newfie that we think may have hip dysplasia (appt next week to find out). Does anyone happen to have any idea how much surgery runs to have it repaired (just wanting an appx. price to be prepared for)? Any other tips I could share with them?

You can pretty much expect $2000 & up.

My GSD's dysplasia surgery was $2100.00 per hip but that is here in VT and we tend to run a little higher then most areas. Was well worth it though.
