It sure sounds like we have been extremely lucky with Chloe! She is 11 weeks old today, and seems to enjoy her crate quite well already. When we first got it, we baby gated her in the kitchen at night with the crate wide open all night. She would whine some when we left her, but eventually go to sleep. She got used to it very quickly that way and would hop right in on her own for a nap anytime. We've since moved the crate to our bedroom and she likes being with us at night much better. She will get right in at night for sleep. As soon as she goes in, she lies down and starts snoring. We get up a 1 and 4 to take her out and she doesn't even want to come out! She acts like we're bothering her sleep time! How rude we are!! :D When we come back in from pottying, she goes right back in on her own, we shut the door, and she is practically sleeping by the time we get ourselves back in bed. What a loaf! When we leave for work we get her in with some treats. We do this so she won't associate our leaving as a bad thing, but rather TREAT TIME! It seems to be working wonders for us. Good luck!

I never thought we'd get Mickey to like his crate, then we put a pillow in it (after he'd been good and housebroken) and couldn't keep him or Sammy out of it! He went in there just to lay down, even with Sammy in it, then he tore his pillow up and we didn't put another one in there. Now he has a blanket that he sleeps on, and it's not near as comfy as the pillow, so no open door sleeping in the crate. He usually goes in without too much trouble, and howls if we're still in the house for very long with him crated. I'm just glad that he knows what "crate up" means and he doesn't absolutely hate it.

Good boxer baby!:D
