Hi I'm Sara. My husband, David, and I have been wanting a boxer for over a year now. We have been researching the breed and agree that it is the right one for our family.
Originally we thought we would get a puppy, but boxer rescue has been a consideration as well. We recently heard about a family (friend of a friend) who was having to move and couldn't take their boxers with them. We knew it was the right time for us and went to meet them with the intention of adopting at least one. Depending on the temperament and size we were considering two. After meeting them we just knew it was the right time for us and that we had space in our hearts and home for both.
They are well trained. They are mother and daughter, both spayed. One is 3 and the other is 9 years old. They are socialized to kids and other dogs, so we look forward to introducing them to our friends and family after they have had time to adjust to our home.
We get to take them home a week from tomorrow and we are really looking forward to it. We love to enjoy the outdoors here in Oregon (USA) and we live a few blocks from a dog park.
I have been reading up on the forums here every once in a while for the past year, but now I hope to become part of the community here now that I will have experiences to share.
