After working for 7.8 year at the state I finally made my mind up it was either me or my boss that had to go. So......here I am off to another job

New job is better pay and benny's and NO travel! Have to say, I about fell out of my seat today. I got a call from the drug testing company telling me my drug test was positive. :eek:. I'm like I don't remember taking any drug so you have to be crazy! Well guess what? Darvacet showed up. Duh, I had major back surgery and some nights I have to take the meds just to sleep. Well I had to conference in my pharmacy so the drug test people could confirm I had a valid prescription for the pain killer.

Say a prayer that this doesn't mess up my chance for my new job. If I have to stay where I am, I'm going to have to start taking real drugs just to make it through the day:rolleyes:

Were you asked to declare any drugs you had taken in the last 30 days? If not, this is probably just an administrative step to validate your perscription. If you were asked and forgot to declare it, it may or may not be a problem depending on the industry/type of job you applied for. Hope it works out for you. If you've had back surgery AND a lousy job, you deserve a break!
