New Fawn girl in need of a strong name

My wife and I cant agree on a name for our new boxer girl. I want a name that is original and sounds like a strong female name. Some names that we have come up with include Jasmine, Alli, Bailey, Bonnie, and my favorite: Arwen but my wife is not convinced.

Out of your choices, I like Arwen!!! It's not original, however it sounds like a very strong name for a boxer. My second choice would be Alli- very cute name

Boy Can I relate to your delima.. We just got a new little boxer girl and we had list of names that everyone liked or disliked we went to websites with thousands of baby names and puppy names and would write down the ones we liked. We even searched on BW older post on naming a boxer girl.. It took us a full week to narrow it down to 4 names even withe her being here with us it was very hard to choose we kept saying does she look like a _XXXX My son won the final vote with Layla Because My daughter promised him that he could name the next boxer because when we got Cody his name was Lenox at the breeder and he wanted us to keep that name hence the promise that he could name the next boxer.. Layla came with the name Gabby but My daughter said she didn't look like a Gabby any way best of luck to you with picking a name Some how you just know when you get the right one let us know what you choose..~ Vickie~ Cody and Layla

My wife and I picked up our boxer girl last night. Here is a list of some of our names

Soleil
Capris
Piper
Scout
Bailey
Java
Rogue (My Favorite)
Lola
Apple

And then on the drive to the breeders we were thinking of mountains to name her after and...
Shasta is her new name.

Great list of strong female names, I think that I like Piper, Soleil(Punky Brewster),and Rogue(X men).

When you said you needed a "strong" name, it reminded me of a movie called "Where the Heart Is". The girl in that movie also said she needed a strong name for her daughter and named her little girl Americus. It might be a fun name for a boxer!

Jasmine is the name of one of my bosses, so it tickles me to think she may have the same name as a dog (bitch )
Alli was our original name when we first got Biff, and were thinking if we ever got him a sister, but my DD called her cat that one :(
Bailey is one of my favourite names for a girl
Bonnie I love too (one of our choices for Buttons)
Arwen - YES! YES! I LOVE it - now go convince the wife!
