New Boxer owner

Hello everyone! My name is Kismet and my new babies name is GOOSE. We rescued him 1 week ago from the pound he is @ 2 years old and very sweet boy! We have wanted a Boxer for sometime and could not afford one....and we happened to stop at Columbia River Gorge Shelter and they had one. It was fate we had been looking and trying to do research asking other Boxer owners etc..
He is my and my sons B-day present!
I have been looking for a site that I can chat with others about Goose since he is our first Boxer and has had previous owner (used possibly as stud) he does have a few behaviors we wonder about.

Hi Claire and Fudgie......
I wish I could say I named him but that is the name he came with we only kept it since (we assume) his previous owner damaged his windpipe and when he barks he sounds like a Goose honking....
It was so cute and fit so well we decided that's what it was gonna stay!
