WooHoo for you and for Kona!

Saving a boxer from going thru rescue, WooHoo...WooHoo to that!!!

I'm sure that everything will work out great between the 2, however, be prepared for the possibility of a little jealousy from Jedi when he figures out that Kona isn't coming over just to play, but is staying. Could happen, perhaps not. But I'm sure everyone will work thru whatever issues come up and all will go on to live in "boxer heaven on earth"!

(No doubts at all that Kona will be spoiled by you, Eric.....he's one lucky dog!)

Was informed today Kona is not coming here. My friends husband is demanding custody of Kona or he will fight her and make it a messy divorce. This is even after he said he had no problem with me taking Kona. I even had to cancel the appointment for the neuter, he wants him whole. He says he will fix him there (he is in Nevada), but I have talked to him myself in the past and would bet anything he will try to make money through studding to BYBs. It is not my friends fault she is a good women dealing with difficult times. Him on the other hand, well better left unsaid. Before anyone mentions it, I relinquished my place in line for Moses and there was a line behind me. In the interest of fairness I won't even try to cut back in line, actually I am going to sit back for a bit and chill on the topic until I am not as upset. Thanks for all the well wishes and comments above, sorry to tell you it is not going to work out at this time.

Eric, I'm so sorry you won't be getting Kona. I know that is a BIG disappointment to you and frustration with the owner! But, when you decide to look again, there will be one waiting for you, and he/she will be so grateful to be in your loving home!

From your last post, it sounds like your friend's ex is interested only in $$$$. Do you think a ransom in the amount of GABR adoption fee or similar would make him change his mind regarding Kona? It would be money well spent ...

Oh man Eric, what an emotional roller coaster! Can she make a spay/neuter contract? Want me and some BIG friends go find this guy and NEUTER him???:mad: (Just kidding people.. Well, kind of)

Doesn't sound like your friend's ex really wants Kona or have the best interest for him :mad:. You might want to check the papers to see if he puts Kona up for sale.

We found out about Moka thru a rescue here and the people who had her was going to surrender her to the rescue. That was before the people decided they could get money for her and listed her for sale in the paper. We didn't want them to benefit from her but then we didn't want Moka to have to be living outdoors anymore either. We ended up buying her and we couldn't ask for a more loving girl.
