Eric,

I do hope you get a canine friend for Jedi through Green Acres Boxer rescue. The people in that organization are totally devoted to doing absolutely everything to help boxers in need. Good luck in your search. You won't find people more dedicated than those in Green Acres.

Keep us posted.

Eric - this is wonderful - I hope Moses is yours! At least rescue is a great place to start your search for another family addition. Jedi will love having a brother to romp with (and you'll get a break!). Good luck - keep us posted...

Moses is certainly a handsome boy. Would you rename him some other Star Wars theme name (or am I getting ahead of myself?)?

Not at all Vasha, we started talking names quickly. I find it helps my cause when you personalize "another dog" to "Moses", lol. I am fighting hard to avoid the SW theme (I only intended it for Jedi, my wife dragged it out for the cats).

Now with that said if we where to get a female the name Beru (Bahr-oo) was actually winning the name race. Beru was Luke Skywalker's aunt where he grew up on Tatooine.

Since we are looking at a boy I am leaning towards keeping the name Moses. The first Boxer I fell for was named Amos, and I like those older fashion names. Besides the nickname Mo just slides off the tongue (YO, Mo, lets go!).

How about a female companion for Jedi?

Out of what is available Moses fits our needs the best (age, good with kids, other dogs and looks to be good with cats.. If that doesn't work out back to seeing what is available. I am not particular over what gender the new addition should be, just want a good fit all around.

Wonderful....

Eric how wonderful....I hope everything goes OK............... I only wish Ginty would accept another boxer....... you are so lucky...... the site was great......I fell in luv with Hunny....

I loved the poem the foster mum wrote about Hunny.......

My foster mom wrote this little ditty about me:

I am one of the sweetest dogs that walked on the planet Earth...
I am so well potty trained, I ALWAYS let my mom know it's time to go...:)
I am very capable of playing like a crazy lady!!
I can also be so loving and I just love, I mean LOVE to be near you.
I will be there for you all the days of my life, and love you to pieces.
I am so grateful for your love and attention.
I may be a little grey...but hey don't we all get that way someday???
I can do a wonderful kidney bean, and my nubber, it goes pretty much all day!!
I ask you...what more can I be?
I know my foster mom loves me, she will have a veeeerrrryy hard time when I
go...
I am a Hunny, which says it all!!

Hope Hunny soon finds a loving home..... I just love her silver face....

Wow that is great! I hope you and your wife get to adopt Moses. I have been thinking about expanding my boxer family soon, too. We adopted Blake, a 6 year old boxer boy, about 15 months ago, and that has worked out wonderfully. I really want to get a puppy, but I am having a hard time talking my husband into it. Your post is a good inspiration; perhaps I will have a similar post in the near future!:D Good luck with Moses!!!

Eric, Moses is a very handsome fellow. I'm sure Jedi would enjoy a playmate. It about breaks my heart to see all those furbaby's in rescue. I don't know how people can let them go.
